Current Responsibilities and Activities
I am a scientific review officer for the Chartered NIH-NIDDK, Kidney, Urologic, and Hematologic Diseases Subcommittee. The Committee is charged with reviewing career development and institutional training grant applications in various areas of nephrology, urology, and hematology. My primary responsibility is to organize peer review meetings to evaluate the scientific merit of applications submitted in response to Funding Opportunity Announcements issued by the NIDDK and other Institutes and Centers at the National Institutes of Health.
My general research interests have been in biochemical pharmacology, cell biology, signal transduction, and apoptosis as they relate to the mechanisms of action of novel anti-tumor agents.
