As a health program specialist at the DNRC, I advise Division staff on research programs and provide technical assistance on nutrition research and training. My responsibilities include management of food safety coordination and oversight of efforts to integrate food safety, food quality, and nutrition. I represent the Division in regional, national, and international events and organize meetings, workshops, and conferences. My duties also include working with Division colleagues to write and create publications. My work supports nutrition research and training to better define the role of nutrition in the promotion and maintenance of health and in the prevention and treatment of disease.
