    Research Summary

    Research Goal

The ultimate goal is to identify genetic variations, chromatin modifications, or changes in gene expression that underlie organismal development and disease.

    Current Research

We are a next-generation sequencing (NGS) service provider.  Applications for NGS include the identification of SNPs/mutations, transcription factor binding sites, chromatin modification, and transcriptional regulation.  We focus on the development and implementation of bioinformatics tools for NGS data analysis.

    Applying our Research

The identification of genes implicated in development and disease facilitates the creation of targeted therapeutics (e.g., pharmaceuticals, gene therapies, etc.).

    Need for Further Study

The identification of genetic variants is relatively straightforward; determining which variants contribute to disease remains challenging.
