1) Is it really necessary to collaborate with an outside group or organization?

Yes. All applicants are required to collaborate with one or more groups or organizations that will participate in the development and/or implementation of the environmental interventions. Such organizations may include, but are not limited to: schools, worksites, religious or community organizations, governmental organizations, restaurants, food markets or purveyors, health care settings, parks and recreational facilities, health clubs or exercise facilities, state public health departments, and neighborhood associations. The purpose of this requirement is to encourage applicants to interact with and use the resources of the broader community, in an attempt to develop interventions that can eventually be translated into larger-scale interventions.

2) Are there any groups or organizations that have expressed an interest in being contacted by investigators as potential collaborators?
