Monday, April 23, 2007


Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. The registration desk is located in the Foyer of the Ballroom located on the lobby/ground level of the hotel. Each attendee will be given a badge and Program Book when they check-in for the meeting. The Workshop will take place in the Ballroom on both days.
Light Refreshments will be served from 7:00–8:00 a.m.
Meeting Start Time – 8:00 a.m. Please be on time.
Morning Speakers – Please coordinate with the Audiovisual (AV) technician in the meeting room or at the registration desk before the meeting starts to ensure that your presentation is ready.
Afternoon Speakers – Please coordinate with the AV technician during lunch to ensure your presentation is ready for the afternoon sessions.
Poster Presenters will be able to set up their posters during the day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Atrium, next to the main meeting room. Additional instructions will be given to the poster presenters when they register. Note: The poster board stands are 4 feet high by 6 feet wide. Your poster presentation does not have to be exactly this size (it can be smaller), but it cannot exceed this size. There will be complimentary push pins and Velcro provided to all poster presenters.
Lunch – Attendees are on their own for lunch. An Annapolis city restaurant guide will be provided at registration. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Poster Session will begin at 7:30 p.m. and last until 9:00 p.m. Poster presenters should stand near their poster for at least the first hour to answer questions. Posters will remain on display throughout the Workshop and can be taken down during the afternoon break on Tuesday, April 24.

HOTEL INFORMATION
The Workshop will take place at The Historic Inns of Annapolis in the Governor Calvert House. The Inns are comprised of the Governor Calvert House and the Robert Johnson House, which are located on State Circle across from the Capitol, and the Maryland Inn, which is located just a short walk away on Church Circle at Main Street. Each Inn is more than 200 years old, while offering all of the modern conveniences, including private baths, private phones with fax jacks, cable TV, and more.

AIR TRAVEL
There are three major airports that service the Annapolis area:
Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Airport (approximately 15 minutes from The Historic Inns)
Reagan National Airport (approximately 30 minutes from The Historic Inns)
Dulles International Airport (approximately 60 minutes from The Historic Inns)

If flying into BWI Airport, you may call 410-859-0800 to make shuttle reservations through SuperShuttle. Reservations must be made at least 2 hours in advance. A one-way fare will cost approximately $19, and the roundtrip fare will cost approximately $30.

If flying into Reagan National Airport or Dulles International Airport, you may call 1-800-258-3826 to make shuttle reservations through SuperShuttle or visit the SuperShuttle booth located at the airport. Rates will vary.

Auto rental agencies are located at all airports for those interested in renting cars. Taxi services are also available.

Parking in Annapolis can be a challenge. Valet parking is available with overnight accommodations for $12 per day, with in-and-out privileges. A loading zone is in front of the Governor Calvert House. Parking for day guests is available at the Municipal Parking Garage, Noah Hillman Garage, located on Duke of Gloucester Street, just 1 block past Conduit Street on the left.

DIRECTIONS BY CAR

From the Washington, DC, Metro Area:
Head toward I-495 East on the Capital Beltway. Merge onto US-50 East via Exit 19A toward Annapolis. Take Route 50 East for approximately 22 miles. Take Exit 24 (Historic District), which is Rowe Boulevard/Route 70. Follow Rowe Boulevard to the end, which will be the Historic State House. Turn left onto College Avenue. Make the first right onto North Street. Make a right onto State Circle. Approximately halfway around the Circle you will reach the Governor Calvert House on your right, 58 State Circle.

From Baltimore:
Take I-97 South toward Annapolis. I-97 South connects to Route 50 East. Follow Route 50 East to Exit 24 (Historic District). Follow Rowe Boulevard to the end, which will be the Historic State House. Turn left onto College Avenue. Make the first right onto North Street. Make a right onto State Circle. Approximately halfway around the Circle you will reach the Governor Calvert House on your right, 58 State Circle.

From Delaware:
Take I-95 South toward the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Follow to Route 301 South, which will connect to Route 50 West. Follow Route 50 West across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Continue on Route 50 West across the Severn River Bridge. Take Exit 24A Rowe Boulevard/Route 70. Follow Rowe Boulevard to the end, which will be the Historic State House. Turn left onto College Avenue. Make the first right onto North Street. Make a right onto State Circle. Approximately halfway around the Circle you will reach the Governor Calvert House on your right, 58 State Circle.

Annapolis, on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, is the seat of both the state and county government. It is a city with a rich Colonial history and is home to a wide variety of cultural arts, outdoor and boating activities, and the U.S. Naval Academy. During your visit, wander through the historic district, watch the sailboats in the Bay, or eat a crab cake in one of the area's fine restaurants!
