Pancreatic Development, Proliferation and Stem Cells
Dear Colleague,

With heartfelt sympathy and support for all those affected by the tragic events of September 11th, we emerge from these terrible events to focus our professional commitments on scientific discovery and discussion.

The symposium, "Pancreatic Development, Proliferation, and Stem Cells" scheduled for October 18–19th will take place in Bethesda, MD as planned. As of September 21, 2001, we are anticipating an exciting conference with excellent attendance.

In the aftermath of the recent events, it is crucial to encourage a return to productive activities. The focus of this meeting is timely and of high priority to the National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and American Diabetes Association and your participation is highly valued. Please join your colleagues in this international gathering to share innovative thoughts, ideas and scientific findings. See you in Bethesda!
