Responsibilities & Activities
As program director for diabetes translational research, I manage a portfolio of clinical translation and treatment studies for type 2 diabetes. My duties include serving as project scientist for the D2d study, which is designed to determine if vitamin D can reduce the risk for developing type 2 diabetes. I also participate in the Biomarkers’ Consortium, serving as chair of the Metabolic Diseases Steering Committee. The Biomarkers’ Consortium is a private-public partnership to support the development of biomarkers.
