Research Summary/In Plain Language

Research in Plain Language

My research focus on the use of mouse models to study a gene involved in the metabolism of sphingolipids when it has been deleted or added to the genome. I study the effects of these modifications during embryonic development of the mice and in stress situations, such as in inflammation and obesity. I am also involved in research to study Sandhoff disease using cerebral organoids.
