Planned Team Meetings

Planned team meetings, occurring weekly or monthly, provide dedicated time for health care teams to review information gathered from team huddles and audits, plan roles and responsibilities, discuss performance improvement plans, and identify other issues that need to be addressed to improve work flow. Staff meetings can also serve as appropriate times to introduce and discuss new standards of care, care models, payment plans, etc. Team leaders should encourage all members to actively contribute to the meetings by creating an environment that rewards input and action (perhaps even through incentives).
