Hi, I’m Dr. Griffin Rodgers, Director of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases at NIH.
The Body Weight Planner uses your height, weight, sex, age, and an estimate of your activity level to create a plan to reach and maintain a healthy weight.
You don’t need to be a computer wiz to use the tool. A step-by-step video walks you through how to
- enter your information
- estimate your physical activity level
- and use the SuperTracker tool to create a meal plan based on your individual weight goals
Maintaining a healthy weight can help prevent health problems related to
- heart disease
- and certain types of cancer
