Buddy Program

The Buddy Program is an NIDDK program that matches up current visiting fellows with new visiting fellows from the same home country. Buddies provide support for new visiting fellows as they acclimate to the United States, NIH, and NIDDK.

The primary responsibilities of buddies include

  • establishing e-mail contact with new visiting fellows before they arrive at the NIDDK to help answer questions; and
  • meeting with new visiting fellows shortly after their arrival at the NIDDK. Buddies will assist with orientation, answer questions, and networking.
The Fellowship Office is always looking for volunteers. If you are a current visiting fellow and wish to volunteer for the program, please contact Lorraine Moore by email. Be sure to provide your name, home country, and gender.
