Meeting Objectives
- To enhance our understanding of pancreatic developmental and stem cell biology; pancreatitis (acute and chronic); genetics of pancreatitis; the link between the inflammatory pancreatic microenvironment and neoplasia; and pancreatic neurobiology
- To identify new strategies in diagnosis, imaging, and therapy of pancreatitis
- To foster collaborative and innovative interdisciplinary translational research
- To coalesce the meeting findings into a publication as a roadmap for future National Institutes of Health (NIH) based initiatives
