Raise awareness with National Diabetes Month resources

During National Diabetes Month each November, communities across the country bring attention to diabetes. Though National Diabetes Month has passed, its free resources are still available to encourage people to learn more about managing diabetes and preventing diabetes complications.

Having diabetes puts people at higher risk of developing health problems that can damage the kidneys, eyes, nerves, and heart. This year, NIDDK’s National Diabetes Month urged people to “Take Charge of Tomorrow” to prevent diabetes health problems. People with diabetes may be able to prevent or delay diabetes health problems by managing their blood glucose levels, building healthy lifestyle habits, dealing effectively with stress, and working with their health care team.

Visit the National Diabetes Month web page and toolkit for a video, downloadable flyer, and other resources about preventing diabetes health problems.
