Program Director in the Office of Minority Health Research Coordination

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) is seeking an exceptional physician to serve as Medical Officer in the Office of Minority Health Research Coordination (OMHRC). The OMHRC seeks to address the burden of diseases and disorders that disproportionately impact the health of minority populations, particularly diabetes, obesity, nutrition-related disorders, hepatitis C, gallbladder disease, H. pylori infection, sickle cell disease, kidney diseases, and complications from infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). A clinically oriented scientist with expertise in Internal Medicine is sought for this position. The Program Director will be responsible for oversight of research grants and promoting training of future scientists especially from minority and underserved communities.
